Where to put the yellow?
It is about balance
When a nose is an indiscriminate pink dot and the eyes are each primary red or primary blue dots, the mouth, has to get the other primary color, yellow.
Clown Nose Face
acrylic on panel
There are ranges to express in painting. Flat to round, detail to broad stroke, and a range of all color represented by the primary color scale.
If yellow is what light is then it does not have the paint weight that pure red or pure blue has. It lights blue or red.
Pink is something else altogether.
Here in "CLown Face Nose" gesso white is not represented.
